Full-Time Teacher
A teacher is responsible for maintaining a safe and fun environment for young children to preteens. Their duties include coming up with creative and educational activities, preparing and serving food to children, and maintaining a clean and healthy environment for the children. Staff members are responsible for the well-being of the children under their care. They must monitor the children all day to ensure that they play and interact with one another in a safe and appropriate manner.
Some typical tasks may include:
- Ensure the children have good hygiene and change diapers as necessary
- Cleaning interactive areas through the day and at closing
- Preparing meals and snacks for the children
- Organizing activities to keep the children engaged
- Developing and implementing a routine schedule
- Keeping records of each child’s progress, interests, eating habits, and any problems that may occur
- Maintaining contact with the children’s parents and contacting them in an emergency.
Teachers can be assigned to work with any age group between 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Additional Criteria:
- Location: Black Hawk, SD
- Age: Must be 18+ years old
- Language: English
- Education: First Aid and CPR are recommended but not required to apply
- Other: Must have a valid Driver's License, must pass a background check
